Calci-Mag is used as an antacid to relieve symptoms of indigestion, peptic ulcers, and gastroesophageal reflux disease. In addition, it is used to treat or prevent calcium deficiency, such as weak bones, kidney failure, and hypothyroidism.
Calci-Mag is also used to treat high levels of phosphate in the blood, as it binds to phosphate and reduces its absorption.
